Overview

Milke Danda trek is one of the most isolated trekking destinations that falls in the far-eastern part of Nepal. This trek offers amazing view of the peakss all the way to Milke Danda region. The way to Milke Danda embraces long and ascending forest edge that separates the Tamur and Arun valley in the eastern Nepal. Also you will be rewarded with great vistas of Kanchanjanga, Makalu and several other peaks.

Similarly, trek to Milke Danda will take you through pleasant lowland region to a uninhabited and far-off ridge with stunning mountain views of four highest peaks among five tallest peak in the world.  Apart from the significant part of encountering with Himalayan ranges, you will also experience the way of life, diverse cultures, traditions etc. of ethnic people residing in this region.

Milke Danda trek in the eastern part of Nepal offers stunning Himalayan views of Mount Kangchenjunga and Mount Makalu. It is also popular for rhododendrons and other different species of flowers. So the trek is also popularly known as Rhododendron trek.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1300m)

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative of Peaceful Himalaya Trekking at Kathmandu International airport and then you will be transferred to hotel. You can relax for the rest of the day and in the evening you can enjoy dinner with Nepali cultural dance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today, you will be go around different world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley; the sacred temple of Hindu, Pashupatinath; the world’s biggest Stupa, Boudhanath; Swoyambhunath Stupa  which is also known as the monkey temple; and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square where you will also visit Kumari broadly known as Living Goddess in Basantapur, Kathmandu. You will also go around Patan Durbar Square which is rich in historical art and architecture. Overnight at hotel again.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Basantapur

This is the third day of our trek and we today, move from Kathmandu with a striking flight to Biratnagar. And upon our arrival at Biratnagar we drive to Basantapur. Overnight in Basantapur.

Day 04: Basantapur - Chauki (2700m)

Today we will head off from Basantapur to arrive at Chauki. On the way we will go by the forest of rhododendron by the side of the awe-inspiring views of Tamur Koshi, Makalu and Arun Koshi. After that our trail moves to Tude Deorali and climbs through Phedi and ultimately arrives at Chauki. Overnight at guest house in Chauki.

Day 05: Chauki - Gupa Pokhari (2930m)

After moving further on from Chauki we traverse some way up and descend and after that pass through Manglebare, Srimani and Balukop. Then, the path comes at two tiny lakes at Lamo Pokhari. After that it moves ahead passing via bamboo huts at Koranghatar and observe more lakes at Gupa Pokhari. Overnight at Gupa Pokhari.

Day 06: Acclimatization at Gupha Pokhari

We have a rest day at Gupha Pokhari today to be accustomed with the environment. Today you have an opportunity to enjoy and rest amongst the rhododendrons and lush vegetation. Overnight at Gupha Pokhari again.

Day 07: Trek to Milke Danda

Today is the most important day of our trek. We will trek to Milke Danda (3124m) and then trek back to Gupha Pokhari. The way takes us all the way through small settlements to the holy lake, with grand views of Mt. Makalu and thick Rhododendron forest.

Day 08: Trek to Chauki.

On our way back to Chauki, we will pass by the woods of rhododendron by the side and along with the amazing views of Tamur Kosi, Makalu and Arun Kosi. Overnight in Chauki.

Day 09: Trek to Basantapur.

From Chauki today we will depart to Basantapur.

Day 10: Drive to Biratnagar and fly to Kathmandu. Overnight in hotel.

Today we will drive to Biratnagar from Basantapur. And then we will take a flight back to Kathmandu. As soon as we arrive at Kathmandu, we will transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 11: Kathmandu

Today we have a day rest in Kathmandu. Optionally, you can stay in the hotel and relax. Or, you can also go around the historical and world heritage sites in Kathmandu that you couldn’t go for on the second day of your trek. Or, you can go around for shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Departure

You will drive to airport by our representative and take the flight to reach your destination from Kathmandu.

In Gosaikunda 2014 November...

We took two groups to Gosaikunda at December 2014. We sent two guides with each seven and five groups. It was very successful trip of our company as before. Every travelers of Korea and Norway became lot of happy to visit there. Again they will arrive here in same company to visit ghorepeni poonhill trek.
