Overview

Come with us and visit two most important holy places in Nepal- Pashupatinath and Manakamana. Pashupatinath is the most honored God of Nepal. And this temple of Lord Shiva situated on the shores of the Bagmati River and lies in the eastern part of Kathmandu. Also the temple is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. Only Hindus are allowed to go in the temple. However, Non-Hindus can have a look from the peak of hill lying the east of the temple and from the other side of the Bagmati River.

Manakamana temple is visited by those visitors especially Hindus who believe the goddess Manakamana fulfils the wishes of the people. The term ‘mana’ actually in Nepali means the ‘heart’ and ‘kamana’ means the ‘wish’. Also, it is believed that the King of Gorkha was blessed by the goddess Manakamana to get triumph over small territories and extend the land of Gorkha. In the past times, to reach at the temple, one had to ride on horseback for around 3 days. But now it is easily reached by cable car.

Similarly, after visiting Manakamana temple, you will drive to Gorkha bazaar where you will visit the Gorkha Durbar, Gorkha museum, Gorakhnath temple and go around the age old city.

Itinerary Details

Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival (1300m)

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative at Kathmandu International airport and then you will be transferred to hotel. You can relax for the rest of the day and in the evening you can enjoy dinner with Nepali cultural dance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Tour to Pashupatinath

Today, you will go around the sacred temple of Hindu, Pashupatinath. The temple of Lord Shiva situated on the shores of the Bagmati River is of pagoda style and has beautifully engraved wooden beam. The two level roofs are made of copper with gold layer. And it has four main doors, all wrapped with silver sheets. Overnight at hotel again in Kathmandu.

Day 03: From Kathmandu to Kurintar and visit Manakamana temple

Today you will drive from Kathmandu to Kurintar taking around 3 hours. Then we will ride the cable car in order to visit Manakamana temple. After going around the temple, we will return back to Kurintar and drive to Gorkha bazaar.

Day 04: Full day sightseeing in Gorkha Bazaar

On this day we will go around Gorkha Bazaar, visit Gorakhanath temple, Gorkha durbar, Gorkha museum and also go around the village near by the bazaar. Overnight at lodge in Gorkha.

Day 05: Drive back to Kathmandu, free time for shopping around Thamel. Overnight at hotel

Today you will drive back to Kathmandu from Gorkha. And then you can go around for sightseeing to main places in Kathmandu if any remains or go for shopping around Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 06: Departure

Our airport representative will take you to the airport for your way back your country.
